Project Ball offers a variety of sports and fitness activities year-round to its community in Seoul. Listed below is an overview of what you can plug yourself into. When you're done exploring, head over to the Playground to register for events.

Leagues

Basketball

Project Ball started with small group of friends playing basketball by the Han River. Over time it grew into a 4-team league that lasted a few summer Saturdays. Fast forward a few years and we now offer 3 separate leagues, each with 3 seasons per year — spring (February-April), summer (June-August), and autumn (October-December).

The D1 League is our top-tier league and usually features a handful of players with prior experience in the KBL, international semi-pro leagues, NCAA colleges, and more. The competition is high and is ideal for individuals with some level of organized ball experience. The D2 and D3 Leagues are designed for players with less experience or anyone that is interested in playing recreationally. The difference between D2 and D3 is the scheduling; D2 is hosted on Sundays while D3 is on Saturdays.

All league team rosters are drafted like in the NBA and members who would like to join should register for the draft pool. New individuals to Project Ball must participate in the Scouting Session in order to enter draft pool.

Teams compete bi-weekly through a regular season spanning 3-5 game days and then a 1-day postseason. Champions are awarded a trophy to autograph and leave messages that will remain a part of Project Ball history.

Volleyball

As with basketball, our volleyball group started as a pickup group and evolved to include a 6-a-side league named X League. Every season features a diverse mix of players that includes expats, natives, US military base personnel, and Korea University/Yonsei University students. The X League is ideal for individuals with a minimum of high school-level playing experience.

Unlike the basketball leagues, team rosters are not drafted but pre-constructed by team captains. If you do not have a team, you may contact us and we will put you in touch with captains who are looking for more players.

Pickup

Unable to commit to a 3-month long league? No worries, we have you covered as well. Pickup sessions for basketball, volleyball, futsal, and dodgeball run year-round. Check the Playground to see when you can play.

Collabs & Community

Community is a keystone of Project Ball's culture and we offer various on-and-off the court events year-round for our members to engage with each other and the local community in Seoul. This include other events — some which are co-hosted with other local groups or organizations — such as handball, ultimate, kickball, running, volunteering, fitness-related, and more. We also schedule monthly events at local watering holes and establishments for the occasional fun night out on the town. Be a part of the Project Ball sports community today.
